My Husband Loves Me Cause I’m A G33K

Jul 30, 2010
my-husband-loves-me-cause-im-a-g33k

One of the reasons Robby loves me so much is I’m not one of those females who wants or needs Prada handbags. In fact I’m much more content with the latest piece of tech than anything that a lot of girls I grew up with own.

For instance, I am currently absolutely excited to be getting a new mouse to fit my gaming needs. The must itself is soooo smexy, that I am seriously contemplating having babies with it. No, seriously it’s that’s AWESOME.

The mouse that I’m going to be getting is the Razer Naga. It has 17 mouse buttons that I can bind when playing and given that I rolled a Holy Priest in WoW and also have Cleric in Aion, this mouse is going to be soooo awesome and useful when it comes to my healing spells.

I know that my geekiness has come out feel force, but I can’t help it. I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on it and you can bet when I do that I’m probably going to piss myself1. Yes, ladies and gents it’s that’s fucking awesome.

Seriously, if you don’t believe me go check it out? Believe me now?

1. Okay, maybe not literally, but figueratively?

A Vacation or Maybe Two?

Jul 30, 2010
a-vacation-or-maybe-two

You know for the longest time, when I was younger I thought it would be absolutely wonderful to go on a Paris private tour. I had a fascination with the bright lights and just the entire romantic concept of the place.

All of that changed when I heard from people that it wasn’t the greatest place in the world to be. A lot of people talked about the stench of the place and the overpowering smell; however after Robby’s visit, and his proclamation that isn’t the case at all, I do have a renewed interest in visiting Paris though not before I take one of the walking tours in London.

I have ALWAYS wanted to visit London just given the history behind it and even though I realize I’ll probably have to sell my soul to afford a London private tour or London walking tours for that matter , I am totally and one hundred percent okay with that!

Overall if I had my choice between Paris or London, I would definitely pick London—though in all honestly I’d like to have the opportunity to see both, though strangely enough if I had to pick between Paris, London, or Hawaii—Hawaii would win hand’s down. I love that place.

And Look How Far We’ve All Come

Jul 30, 2010
and-look-how-far-weve-all-come

It’s interesting to me to look back a few years ago and notice how much has changed from a technological stand point because I’m just aghast at how much it has! How much people have involved and become more fixated on what’s new in the technological world, when not so long ago, we’d all be more apt to seeing things and envying, but never really figuring we had the ability to attain our desires so we would look and dream but never touch.

Now a days though, it’s not at all uncommon to go to someone’s house and see an HDTV or two or even three, which wasn’t the case a few years ago. In fact for the most part who ever had an HDTV ended up being the envy of all and also hosted all the best parties.

For me it’s just interesting to go back a few years and see how much society has changed when it comes to what’s important and what’s not. It’s as if we all just woke up one morning and realized that technology is actually important and is leading the way in terms of business and industry.

Or there’s also the possibility Terminator was right and we could all be screwing ourselves. I guess it just depends on how you look at it!

I Guess I’m What Some Would Call Old Fashioned

Jul 29, 2010
i-guess-im-what-some-would-call-old-fashioned

When it comes to flowers or anything sentimental for that matter, I tend not to care. I’ve never really been the type to believe that in order to feel loved Robby had to go out and bring me home flowers, chocolate, etc.

Now don’t get me wrong, the gesture, if done is HIGHLY appreciated, but it’s not something I need. Know what I mean?

In any event, I find it interesting and kind of funny that dating has “evolved” into other avenues, the internet for example and with evolution, a new way to send flowers/gifts, etc has exploded as well.

It is now possible to have a significant other in a completely different state or country for that matter and still send flowers to them without having to pick up the phone. Honestly I find it to be a little ridiculous that I could commission a NYC flower delivery simply by utilizing a website on the internet, but I guess that’s just me.

Call me old fashioned, but if I had any say in it, I think if you feel that gestures such as giving flowers is needed to show how much you love someone, the gesture goes further when you’re able to bring the flowers to your significant other yourself.

Thoughts?

I Don’t Know if I Should Laugh or Cry

Jul 29, 2010
i-dont-know-if-i-should-laugh-or-cry

Just recently my dad has been having a lot of issues with the used BMW he purchased a few years ago. Now when he’d purchased it to begin with, I was pretty leery giving that BMW parts aren’t standard and if anything goes wrong, you’re looking at spending money out yo’ ass.

Well guess what? Something went wrong. In fact, a lot of somethings went wrong and it’s safe to say that San Diego auto repair or any auto shop that deals with BMWs has become a frequent trip on his map.

Now as far as I know, all of his issues have been related to specific parts going on. I don’t believe he’s had any problems with the check engine light going on, but even still with all the problems he has had, it makes you wonder if he was just better off getting a Ford F-150—though, if I’m honest I can’t really see him in one of those anyway.

At least for me I get to learn from his lesson when it comes to any future car purchases. Unless I somehow manage to make it in the big time (see: rich), I will be avoiding BMWs, Mercedes and anything similar. My pocketbook cannot afford it.

I should probably cry now, huh?
