Be Smart, Be An Informed Consumer!

Sep 2, 2010
be-smart-be-an-informed-consumer

When it comes to products or services, I am a firm believer in research. It’s important, in my opinion, to know what you’re getting yourself into; most especially when high priced items such as electronics or gadgets are concerned.

While I can’t go into specific details in regards to the company I work for or what I do, I can see that I deal with people on a daily basis who are uninformed consumers and honestly, it’s hard to have any sympathy for them– especially when it’s really easy to Google consumer reports from anything to the best dating sites to the thoughts on a particular piece of tech and even to compare online fax services.

It is so important in this day in age to become an informed consumer. It is your responsibility to know the specific requirements to use an item or what a service is going to entail. I cannot stress how many people often just toss away their receipts without even taking a moment’s pause to read the return or exchange policy or even look to see that if they need the receipt for a possible return in the future.

All I know is that you need to make sure that you’re bases are covered. I mean that’s what all the companies do with all their various policies—so wouldn’t you think that as a consumer you should do the same?
