I’ve worked in retail before and I can tell you for me it was one of the most excruciating experiences so I have to commend those with the capacity to do it. Especially during the holidays when people tend to turn into monsters who don’t care about feelings or that the person they’re screaming out is just trying to do their job. I definitely understand the allure of forever 21 jobs, especially when you’re promised a hefty discount but it does come with a price and to be honest, that’s just not one I’m willing to pay.
So G-d bless our retail workers; it’s good to know there are some people out there who are willing to do what some won’t.

Ever since I can remember I have NEVER been into jewelry. Robby will be the first person to say this given that when he proposed I had no interest in an engagement ring but gave in after he asked me to get one. To this day I still have the same mentality. I just don’t see the point.
I don’t wear rings or things like a stainless steel necklace and I have no interest in shopping for jewelry either. Maybe once in a blue moon I’ll accessorize because whatever I’m wearing calls for it but for the most part, I’m good without the additional pieces. I guess I’m just weird.

Robby and I have wanted to make some changes to the house but we’ve both agreed that we do not want to make expensive changes because this is not the house we plan on spending the rest of our lives in. Still in the meantime, we are going to pull the carpet out of the loft and install wood flooring upstairs. It should not require a rivet nut because we plan on getting the flooring that you just snap in. When’s the last time you made changes to your house? Did you like it?

In a few short weeks, I’ll be visiting and finally meeting my bestie, Jenn! I am so excited and can hardly wait. We were supposed to meet years ago but a wrench was thrown into our plans and so we had to postpone so I’m really, really excited about this trip. Plus it will give me some time away from work which I desperately need. I know when I get back I’m going to be super stressed but I think it will definitely be worth it.
When we get out there, even though I detest it, I think I may go shopping with her. I want to get her a gift for her pregnancy and figure we can check out some discount maternity dresses or just some stuff for the baby. It’s crazy how many people are pregnant now a days. I can hardly believe it. Either way I am super excited for Jenn and her latest addition and cannot wait to meet her and her son. I’d like to go out when the baby is born but I’m not sure if that is possible so we’ll have to see.
Here’s to a few more days!

Anyone who knows me, knows that when it comes to certain things, I have OCD. One of which is yard signs, especially ones that are poorly made or just do not make any sense.
Months ago, we used to go out every Saturday morning and hit up garage sales. Well, I can tell you it was so dang frustrating to have signs that just didn’t make sense or were done on cheap, paper so it blew away or it was just too hard to read driving down the street.
Then there were the people who just left their signs up from previous weeks. Rude much?! If the sale is over take the sign down. It’s so infuriating to drive by a house thinking a sale is going on, only to find that isn’t the case.
Like I said– OCD.

Every since I started watching Extreme Couponing, I have wanted to get into couponing myself. The biggest problem? Time. I have very little time to properly do it so as a result I try to save money where I can using things like sears coupons or deals online. It’s so frustrating because I do believe it would be a HUGE money saver, I just wish I had the time to properly do it.
For those of you who work full time jobs, go to school AND try to manage your household, how do you do it? What trips and tricks can you give a busy woman?
